One of the top self-financing engineering colleges in the nation was R.V. College of Engineering, founded in 1963. Rashtreeya Sikshana Samithi Trust, a nonprofit trust, manages the institution. The trust oversees approximately 25 institutions, with RVCE serving as its flagship institution. Today, RVCE is acknowledged as one of India's top technical institutions. Initially, the RV College of Engineering in Bangalore only offered admission to three engineering disciplines like electrical, civil, and mechanical.
